"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith" (Mark 11:23).
The only thing stopping most people from seeing mountains move from their life is the doubt in their hearts. It took me a while to understand that you can have doubt and faith existing in your heart at the same time. In the book of James, this is referred to as being double-minded.
"But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways" (James 1:6-8).
Before you can step into faith that moves mountains, you need to get rid of the doubt in your heart. An example of having doubt and faith residing at the same time could look like someone believing God for a miracle in their body but at the same time not believing it will happen because "God works in mysterious ways." In other words, they believe God can heal them, but they don't believe God will heal them. But, Jesus said that we need to believe that the things we say will come to pass. It is evident in the words of Jesus Christ that whatever we say, according to the Word, will come to pass.
Notice how Jesus told us that whatever we say will come to pass. Not whatever we pray to God and ask Him to take care of. As far as God is concerned, He already took care of it when Jesus died on the cross for your sins and for your physical healing (Matthew 8:17 & 1 Peter 2:24). We need to take the responsibility to speak to our mountains and operate through God's power working in us (Ephesians 3:20).
If you need to see the mountain of sickness leave your life or family, believe these scriptures to be absolute truth and start confessing them over your life.
Through Jesus' sacrifice, He has restored you to health!
The Lord will sustain and strengthen him on his sickbed; in his illness, You will restore him to health. (Psalm 41:3 AMP).
God always wills for you to be healed–every time.
And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him (1 John 5:14-15 AMPC).
His Words are LIFE and HEALTH to your flesh.
My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22 AMPC).
Jesus was bruised and beaten so that you could be healed.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 KJV).
Above ALL things, we should prosper and be in health.
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth
Every person that wanted healing, received it. This is true for you today.
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people (Matthew 9:35 KJV).
You have the raising-from-the-dead healing power on the inside of you!
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11 KJV).
Jesus answered the question of whether or not it is His will to heal.
And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed (Matthew 8:2-3 KJV).
If you need the mountain of debt and poverty to remove from your life, believe and confess these Scriptures over your life.
God gives you the power to get wealth. He doesn't magically do it for you.
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day (Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV).
God already planned to supply all of your needs before you were born!
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).
Rely on God's supply.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 KJV).
This verse is not only about healing but in prosperity too.
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 1:2 KJV).
When your heart is positioned towards His will, He will supply everything.
Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested (1 Chronicles 4:10 KJV).
Jesus became POOR (King Jesus to human infant) so we would be RICH.
For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied) (2 Corinthians 8:9 AMPC).
If it's God's will, it's God's bill. Do what He tells you to do and He will supply.
And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation] (2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC).
Knowing Him intimately is a major key to unlock all that He has in store.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3 KJV).
Jesus didn't come to give us lack, He came to give us MORE.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10 KJV).
When God uses you to give, He will use others to give back to you.
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again (Luke 6:38 KJV).
Without seeking God, desires for prosperity will always be in vain.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33 KJV).
Once you get these scriptures into your heart and you truly believe them, you will see doubt leave. You don't need MORE faith to receive your healing, receive financial freedom, or be freed from addiction. You need less doubt. You have the mountain-moving faith of Jesus living on the inside of you (Galatians 2:20) but the reason you aren't seeing it manifest is because of doubt and unbelief in your heart. This is why Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by renewing our mind to God's Word. This will help us understand what we have on the inside of us. When you know in your knower the all of these verses are true, there is no more room for doubt.
When you let the opinion of others and the report of doctors become your main focus, you're giving room for doubt and unbelief. But when you put God's Word on the forefront of your mind, it crowds doubt and unbelief, and eventually, they're going to feel like the outsiders of the party and they will leave. Faith isn't a magic wand you use to get yourself out of trouble, it is a law and principle that God put in motion when He created the foundations of the earth just like how He created the laws of gravity and aerodynamics. The world didn't need to wait for the Wright brothers to fly the first airplane. Moses and Noah and Abraham all could've flown airplanes because the law of aerodynamics existed when God created the earth. They just didn't know about it so they missed out. The same principle is applied to the law of faith. It operates one way and one way only. Believe and do not doubt in your heart and confess with your mouth.
When you became born-again, you believed in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead and you confessed with your mouth that He is Lord. That was the law of faith being perfectly executed. Colossians 2:6 tells us that the same way we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior (believe in the heart and confess with the mouth) is the same way we need to live our lives. Faith is a lot simpler than you think. It only requires you to cooperate with it. If you defy the laws of gravity and jump off of a bridge, you're going to fall down and hurt yourself. If you try to defy the laws of faith, you're not going to see your situation get better and you might actually see it worsen.
Faith is a simple law of believing and not doubting in your heart and making a confession with your mouth. The word confession in the original Greek word is, "homologeó." This word is from which we get the words Homosapien, homosexual, homologous, and so on. Homologeó literally means, "to speak the same, to agree." A lot of people are against speaking to your mountain and they label this as "word of faith" or "name it claim it" gospel. They think that this is telling people to say whatever they want to say and it'll happen as if God is a genie in a bottle. But in reality, when you are confessing with your mouth, "by the stripes of Jesus I am healed" and "no sickness can come near my body" and "Jesus became poor so I could be made rich in all areas of my life", you aren't saying whatever you want. You are agreeing with what God's Word already says about you. Confession with your mouth is agreeing with what the Word of God already says.
Now that you know that you have the faith of Jesus on the inside of you and doubt is the killer of faith, start using this faith and get rid of doubt! You will see mountains move from your life little by little. Faith is like a muscle. Everyone has all of the muscles they need to become strong, but if you don't work them out, you won't see results. If you don't use your faith and believe for the impossible, it will be harder to see results. The good news is that it's never too late to leave the start line. Some people have left long before you and are using their faith to a greater extent than others. That shouldn't be discouraging for you. If anything it should be encouraging to know that you too can get there someday but you have to start the race. You need to show up to the gym and work this muscle that is already inside of you, it just isn't being used. Will you start using the raising-from-the-dead, mountain-moving faith that lives inside of you? Are you at a point where you are sick and tired of being sick and tired? Get rid of doubt and use FAITH.
